How can heads of music ensure that school open evenings meet the needs of the school and the music department?
This chapter is adapted from an article which first appeared on the TeachTalkMusic website.
The Open Evening is one of the most important events in the school calendar, and as Head of Music you are vital to the success of it. It is a chance for you to show what your department can offer to prospective students, both curricular and extra-curricular, and you should grasp it with both hands. That may seem like common sense, but sadly it is not quite so simple.
